After Allowing Cinemas, Saudi Arabia Will Send Its Films To Cannes Festival In France

Taking one more step towards becominga progressive state, Saudi Arabia is all set to reopen it’s first cinema on April 18. It will be open in the capital Riyadh for both men and women.

This was probably not enough and now Saudi Arabia has announced that it will be participating in the Cannes Film Festival. A total of nine short films by young local filmmakers will be screened at the Short Film Corner during the festival on May 14 and 15, reported Variety.
