WWE

He ain’t hype!
Last night’s SmackDown featured matches with implications for the upcoming traditional Survivor Series elimination tags. The Hype Bros defeated The Ascension to earn a spot on SmackDown’s tag division team against Raw, and Nikki Bella defeated Natalya to become captain of SmackDown’s women’s team. Heath Slater and Rhyno also retained their titles in a match against The Spirit Squad and will automatically be on SmackDown’s tag division team.
Terrance Jean-Jacques, 24, who signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in April, was released to the custody of his parents following a dangerousness hearing in Haverhill District Court Tuesday. Jean-Jacques will be wearing a house arrest ankle bracelet until December 6th.
ESPN’s The Undefeated profiled Sasha Banks.
Paul Heyman posted a self-deprecating tweet about his promo from Raw on Monday.
Mandy Rose has received criticism on social media after a Snapchat post that insulted a black woman’s hair.
A study found that the WWE Network is now the fifth most subscribed to streaming service in the United States.
Tommaso Ciampa commented on one full week of training at the WWE Performance Center.
Nikki Bella credited Shayna Baszler for coaching her and for her new submission finisher.
PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Nate Rau, who was in attendance for today’s hearing regarding Billy Corgan’s lawsuit against TNA, covered the day’s proceedings for The Tennessean. During the hearing, TNA attorney Travis Parham said that the tax lien filed against the company by the Tennessee Department of Revenue is an accounting mistake and a non-issue.
The Tennessean has video clips of Corgan and TNA’s attorneys from today’s hearing.
Billy Corgan tweeted about the hearing: “Very pleased with the court proceedings today in Nashville. Appreciate those who’ve followed the case carefully, separating spin from fact”
Sports Illustrated featured a first-person account from Cody Rhodes about his relationship with his father.
The estate of Chyna will no longer be run by her former manager, as the mother of the recently deceased wrestler, Janet Laque, told Pro Wrestling Sheet that she’s just been appointed by the court to take control.
A radio station in Wilmington NC recently had Kurt Angle and Sting call in to promote an upcoming show. During Sting’s interview he mentioned his thoughts on his final match with Rollins, and Angle mentioned where he wants to retire. Check out the clips here and here.

Marty “The Moth” Martinez joined The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling this past week and opened up about his personal career evolution as well as taking the listeners deep inside “the temple” as he gives the backstory of his character, the potential plans for The Moth Tribe and the influences behind his unhinged persona.

German Pay-TV channel “TNT-Serie” just announced that they have signed with Lucha Underground. They start airing the first season on December 10th. The show will air every Saturday at 10:40pm. They signed German wrestling commentary legend Günter Zapf, who did commentary for WWE shows for years and Mike Ritter to do commentary voice-overs for the matches. The backstage skits will air in English with German subtitles.
