— Former WWE star Scott Hall and the Insane Clown Posse are saying they are going to the Joe Louis Arena for next January’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
— Last night’s series finale of the FX series The Shield had a storyline loosely based on the death of Chris Benoit. During the final episode, Detective Shane Vendrell, one of the main characters, kills himself and his family in order to prevent any of them from suffering because of the hole he had dug himself into throughout the series. Ultimately, Shane kills himself & overdoses his pregnant wife & son with painkillers that were placed in their drinks. He placed them on the bed with flowers & a toy in their hands. Their bodies laying peacefully with their hands on their chest is eerily reminiscent of the real life Chris Benoit murder-suicide incident. The creator of the show said the original script called for the main character to get caught by police, but he told the writers to make it similar to what the wrestler did last year.
