Shayna Baszler Regains NXT Women’s Championship, New EVOLVE Champ

The finals of last year’s Mae Young Classic tournament saw Kairi Sane defeat Shayna Baszler. The two NXT Superstars have continued their feud over the past few months, and they both just had another match against each other, but with the NXT Women’s Championship on the line this time around. Baszler had been the reigning champion throughout most of 2018, but Sane defeated Baszler to win the title back at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn back in August. During WWE’s all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view last night, “The Queen of Spades” was able to defeat Kairi to become a two-time NXT Women’s Champion. This is definitely a major win for Shayna Baszler, but she was not able to regain the championship all on her own.
Shayna Baszler received her shot to win back the NXT Women’s Championship at Evolution last night, and the former MMA fighter was able to take the title back. Baszler defeated Kairi Sane to win the NXT Women’s Championship for the second time in her career. However, Baszler received some assistance from fellow NXT Superstars, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Duke, Shafir, Baszler, and Ronda Rousey were known as the Four Horsewomen of MMA, but now all four women have joined WWE. Could Baslzer’s title win here mark the start of a new trio between Shayna, Duke, and Shafir? Only time will tell, but what is clear now is that Shayna Baszler is the champion of NXT women’s division once again.

Congratulations, @QoSBaszler! #WWEEvolution #AndNew #WWENXT

As reported yesterday, NXT Superstars Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins competed for EVOLVE Wrestling, and even competed for the promotion’s tag team titles. The Street Profits shocked fans in attendance by winning the EVOLVE Tag Team Championships from Jaka and Chris Dickinson at EVOLVE 114 last night. However later on that same night, NXT Superstar Fabian Aichner was able to dethrone Shane Strickland to become the brand new EVOLVE Champion. Aichner and The Street Profits have both already been confirmed to appear on EVOLVE shows this November, and it is believed that they will be on the December shows as well. It certainly appears as if NXT is beginning to takeover EVOLVE.

AND NEW EVOLVE CHAMPION!!!@FabianAichner of @WWENXT captures the title from @StricklandShane at #EVOLVE114 on #ClubWWN
See the new champ when EVOLVE comes to Detroit on Nov 9 & Chicago on Nov 10!
