Kevin Owens managed to walk out of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Monday night as the reigning WWE Universal Champion, getting through a tough challenge in the main event.
In a No Disqualification match against Seth Rollins, with Chris Jericho banned from ringside, Owens scored a pin after an assist from a special audience member to retain his Universal Championship.
Owens and Jericho made up earlier in the show following the destruction of Jericho’s “List.” Now back on good terms, Jericho provided the assist for Owens, disguising himself in a Sin Cara mask and a Shinsuke Nakamura hoodie and attacking Rollins from the crowd.
“The Architect” would manage to hit Jericho with a Pedigree, but the distraction led to Owens hitting him with the canvas powerbomb and scoring the 1-2-3.
