Moyes may have to sell players in order to make any new signings before the transfer window closes on 5th October.
Yarmolenko is now one of the frontrunners to move away from the London Stadium this summer.
It’s not yet known how much Shandong would be willing to spend.
The Chinese side are aiming to sign more big names from the top European leagues.
They signed Marouane Fellaini from Man Utd back in February 2019, as well as Graziano Pelle from Southampton in 2016.
Yarmolenko could follow former teammate Marko Arnautovic in moving to China. The 31-year-old left West Ham for Shanghai SIPG last year as part of a £22.4 million deal.
However, the Hammers are likely to reject any bid for the Ukrainian as they prepare for the upcoming season.
He contributed to six goals in 23 Premier League matches during the 2019/20 campaign as West Ham finished 16th.
Moyes’ only signing so far is Tomas Soucek from Slavia Prague. The 25-year-old signed from Slavia Prague after impressing during his loan spell.
They’ve since targeted Inter Milan left-back Dalbert Henrique. The Italian side are holding out for an £18 million fee, which West Ham may be willing to meet this transfer window.
Moyes has also been stern when talking about Declan Rice’s potential move to Chelsea. The Englishman has been tipped for an £80 million move to Stamford Bridge, but Moyes sees him as a future captain.
West Ham’s first Prem fixture is at home against Newcastle tomorrow. They will be hoping to get off to a good start to prevent another relegation scare.
